I'm a business analyst, currently living and working in South Florida, specializing in analytic work in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. I possess extensive familiarity with data providers, including Circana (IRI), Nielsen, VIP iDig, Spins, Stackline, Numerator, and others.

For as long as I remember, I've been fascinated by numbers. My mom likes to tease me for requesting a calculator watch for my birthday when I was younger. Fast forward a couple of decades and I now get to play with some of the most advanced statistical software programs for a living!

I discovered my knack for this type of work about 5 years ago after a career switch. Every day, I felt like there was something new to learn in Microsoft Excel. I used LinkedIn Learning courses, YouTube, Google and studied formulas from cross-functional partners. Knowing I needed to hone this skillset, I enrolled in the University of Dayton's online business analytics master's program and quickly completed in 2 years while working full-time, also while moving back to Florida from Texas. Needless to say, it was a busy time in my life but my enthusiasm for this type of work made it easy for me to understand these concepts and eager to continue learning more.

With this toolbox of efficiencies, tips and tricks that I have developed over the years, I hope to help others work smarter, not harder when it comes to interpreting the data that describes their business. If you are interested in working together, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Shannon Fraser

ABOUT ME

Education

Master of Science in Business Analytics

University of Dayton

2021 - 2023

This program exposed me to advanced forms of statistical analysis, much of which can be done using free open-source software tools, such as R, or common business applications, like Microsoft Excel. I learned various programming languages, best practices in terms of data hygeine and storage and developed strong business acumen.

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology

Texas A&M University

2013-2018

Prior to discovering the career possibilities in the analytic world, I studied exercise physiology in hopes of pursuing a career in physical therapy. I quickly learned that I'd prefer to engage in this interest as a hobby.
